In the Twists and Turns of the Human Mind

This work explores intrusive thoughts, a topic society often looks away from. The videos play on small screens, placing the viewer almost in the position of someone spying on another person – an intimate, voyeuristic way of watching. Each one opens on an everyday moment, like driving home from work or waiting for a train, before cutting suddenly to black – an eclipse marking the arrival of an intrusive thought.

Each of us carries inner worlds that can frighten us, just beyond what’s considered “socially normal.” I’m interested in how fragile that boundary is, and how quickly we can find ourselves on the other side of it.
